Windows forms messagebox icons?

i am a high school student and i am in a programming class and love it. we recently did a program in microsoft visual studio (C#) and it had to do with windows forms and the different controls you can put on them. we made a program that made messageboxes appear with a selected icon and buttons. intellisense (or however you spell it) tells me that there is a hand and asterisk icon but when i actually select that icon, the icon on the messagebox is either an exclamation point or the error icon. i was wondering if there is actually an asterisk and hand icon? my teacher entrusted me with finding this out :) any help would be great!

Why can the USPS loose packages without taking responsibility when they are taxpayer supported?

Our taxes already greatly subsidize the US Postal Service, giving them a HUGE financial advantage over other delivery services. Regardless, we have to pay them additional money to protect our investment in case one of their highly compensated employees steal our package (this happened to me when shipping an expensive iPhone overseas where i'm forced to write the contents on the box, alerting a dishonest postal worker that this is a good package to cherry pick). I was told in error by the postal worker who helped me that insurance is not available for packages sent to other countries. They did a cursory "package search" after they lost it and said they couldn't find it. I'm on disability and this loss is devastating to me financially. The USPS gets my tax money, charges huge fees to ship, and want a little extra from us on top to compensate us when they pilfer the packages we entrust to their care. A business like that deserves to go out of business.

Hi, I am a 14 year-old guy who was entrusted with a laptop at age 10. And my neighbor (who has been my best friend for my entire life) has been complaining about not having a laptop even though all his friends do. How can I stop cutting?

I've only been cutting for two weeks now, but it seems like I can't stop. For a while I cut both my wrists, but now I just stick to one of them. Yes that is a form of self mutilation, in my opinion anyway. I would suggest that you find a better way to cope like writing or music or painting or whatev. However, if it is only your hair and other methods aren't working then who cares. It's just hair and it grows back. Counselling might help you discover better coping mechanisms. Know, however, that we all cope in one way or another and that there's nothing wrong with you, per se. You just have a unique way of handling stress.

I have been with my husband for 5 years, married 1. He is a heavy pot smoker, and I started almost two years ago after a car accident to try and relieve pain, and because I felt we would get along better (he also grows). I absolutely cannot stand my father anymore. I am 13, so I can't do anything about it. All he does is yell at me and he even said he regretted having me as a daughter. Why don't kids ever listen?

Ok, The only way i would say to my niece is raising my voice is when she listen. But when i say it nice or in a normal voice never listen and end up with bumps, scratch, bites, bruises. Why is it that when you raise you're voice and mean business that's when they listen. And never listen when you say it no honey don't do that you're going to get you're head stuck in that whole. Then gets her head stuck in the whole. Or get stung by bees when i say it nicely when she doesn't listen. Stands there with swarms of bees stares and let her self get stung. Still standing there. Why don't she run too when she knows when she's getting stung? She's almost 8yrs old she knows what bees are. Is it the tone of voice that make them listen or is it the way that's been told? well dude, APUSH is not that hard, its just a ton of work. reading everyday, even weekends. so if your a good reader, then you should go for it, if your thinking of going to UF, then you have a lot more tougher classes, and youll need to learn to manage your time, so i would say to take the class to help you get more experienced with AP work and if you do well enough, you wont have to take History in college since ofcourse its required before youll start doing stuff concerning your major. Okay so I scored a 1790 on my SAT but I'm not sure if I should take it again to try to get a better grade. I also scored a 28 on the ACT, without the writing portion. I'm not sure if taking it without the writing was the best thing to do, but that's what my counselor recommended. I know that the requirements are different for each field of study; I plan on going into visual and performing arts in college. I have no desire to go to an Ivy League school, so that's out. Are the scores good enough for anything beneath that?

Anti-depressants may not be the ideal medicine for you; there are a lot of different kind of mood stablizers on the market now and one of them might be a better choice for you; you'll probably need to be seen by a dr who can diagnose exactly what the problem is and how to treat it. In therapy you can discuss your abusive past and learn how not to let it control your future. You are young and have a lot of potentially wonderful years ahead of you once you get your emotions under control. Sometimes if you see them written in front of you, you'll realize that they really aren't that bad and you're just winding yourself up. It will be ok, I promise.

Should I go or should I try to handle it myself?

I'm a 16 year old female who lost my father to Leukemia almost two years ago. Ever since then, I've been having noticeably different emotions. I get easily angered and cry over almost anything. I also recently lost literally all of my friends when they started to betray my trust. They also tormented me through cyberbullying and writing degrading things about me on the bathroom stalls. That seemed to make everything worse. I am also almost always alone, since my Mother has to work all hours of the day to support our family. So, with her being gone, I have no one to confide my problems to. I do see a counselor every two weeks, and I have requested to see her more, but she denies my requests. I also see a psychiatrist and am on 150 milligrams of Zoloft, which also does not seem to be working, and he too denies my request to try a different medicine or higher dosage. To make things worse, my only friend, who is also my boyfriend, is now thousands of miles away to visit his father, and does not wish to talk to me, much less listen to what I have to say. We have been dating and bestfriends for almost three years now, and I do believe my mental state has jeopardized us from becoming closer, and in fact, is most likely making me lose him. I feel helpless and hopeless, and sometimes I take my prescription pain pills from surgery to ease the pain and escape reality. I also try to over-dose on my Zoloft or Tylenol in order to maybe pass out, since I am unable to sleep at all anymore. Although I may have problems, I'm not stupid and I know what I'm doing is wrong and I do understand I need help desperately. I want to check myself into a mental hospital, but I don't want to leave my Mom behind and hurt her. She is taking the loss of my Dad pretty hard too. It really depends on the level of mental retardation he has and other problems. My brother has Down syndrome and autism so he does hurt people sometimes unintentionally. That is something you should ask the parents though. Ask them if there's something he likes to do or that keeps him happy and busy. For the most part they don't stray unless they see something they life. A lot of them love food and music, so you can try that approach. Overall though, you should just ask his parents because they know him best :)

Does my school have a right to ask for my parents income tax returns?

I'm going to Kent State University. My EFC is above my 'financial need'. All that I expect to get is a parent PLUS loan. The school won't even tell me whether I have any scholarships or anything pending if I turn in my parents W-2s and tax returns. I don't think they have the right to ask for this stuff considering the circumstances. It's really none of their business what my parents spend their money on. Is there a way to find out whether I have anything pending? Also, are there any rights I have regarding privacy to not give them the tax returns? Getting my daughter. Any advice?

So I was with this girl for 8 years, she became pregnant. I was ecstatic, she wasn't so. She wanted to binge (drug/alcohol) and I gave her an ultimatum. I said it was me or that, figured she would shape up, but instead she shipped out to some other guy who was supplying her with that crap. On Friday, she called me up and said I have a 4 year old daughter (her name is Ciera Love, born on valentines day, and quite the cutie by the way). She also said that she entrusted care to her aunt, who is a known junkie, just not on criminal records. Her aunt got the girl to sign away maternal rights with threats of a long drawn out court process. She said that her aunt is going for sole guardianship and is trying to claim negligence on my part in order to supercede the necessity for needing me to sign away paternal rights as well as child support. Her aunt told her that she better not tell me or else....(buh buh buhhhh). Anyways, she filed petition for sole guardianship on Friday and this morning I am going to the courthouse to contest it. Her aunt also has the habit of taking kids in her family that might get taken out of the home and going on the run and into hiding. She has done this when DHS (Department of Human Services) has gone to take kids out of the home and even on the suspicion it would happen. My daughter lives in a heroin/meth den. It is my duty and obligation to get her out of that hell. Do I stand a chance? Any advice would help greatly.

Daughter with depression and BASTARD ex husband!?

I have four children; ages 2, 15,17, and 24. Well my 15 year old is currently on medication for her depression and i just recently found out EVERYTHING she's been going through. The main thing that concerned me was she was raped twice in her life. I found this out because I recently started taking her to see a counselor and this is how i found it out. Both times by her real father and his friend during the summers i let her go visit. It involves the question of when you work at one job, but through an employment agency, who is ultimately responsible for you and who can say if you are hired or not. I say that if you were fired from the company that you are sent to work at, they can reject you, my wife says that you are now working for a totally different company and that the client company has entrusted the employment agency to hire on their behalf; if they felt you were ok, so should the client company. Running start gpa vs. college?

I'm a senior in highschool in the running start program. I only registered for two classes, Step Aerobics and Pomology (a agriculture fruit class). What happens if you go AWOL from active army for 25-28 days?

I was having problems well on deployment, I went on R and R and the problems kept happening and finally got worse i ended up in the hospital and let my chain of command know what was going on. I was diagnosed with adjustment disorder i believe or something like that. I got a psych eval at fort Stewart and was told i was not fit for duty, Now i am back at my duty station Fort Hood and have been doing counseling. I had an incident where I got very suicidal before even back at Hood and i told them about it and showed them things i had written down. During a day it got so bad i became suicidal once more and I ended up having the MP's come to the motor pool for me to make sure i was alright and they took me to the ER for help. They NCO's know about everything going on with me but nothing is happening, I asked my counselor if I can see psych about this and everything going on to get an idea of my mental status because i am scared of myself at this point and I was told that I dont have any serious symptoms that really need to be addressed..? I feel as if they dont care and are not going to do anything about anything going on with me. I have been very irritable with everyone lately and have depressive thoughts. Its driving me to the ground and i feel that i need to leave Fort hood for a little bit to clear my head before I hurt someone or myself or I do something to stop myself from leaving.... I just want to know what will happen if i was to go AWOL for 25-28 days

About Mental Strength...?

After 5-10 days of no sleep, you die. Everyone has a different tolerance to pain..life. I am somewhat the same way as you are. I find it hard to understand what people feel, always interpreting people wrong and I feel no empathy for anything...sometimes I feel like an empty vale wandering about. But then, I have been diagnosed as a Psychopath. And I sleep pretty well, you can set a air horn or blow something up beside me and I wont wake..just wake up later with a sore ear.

Can I get into Boston University with no AP classes?

It is my dream school but I am not sure I can get in. My school is a top public school in my state and has a very rigorous curriculum. I took mostly honors classes and have a 3.7 weighted GPA. I didn't take any AP classes because my teachers or guidance counselor didn't recommend any for me. It was a struggle to get the A's and B's I did get with the honors classes. To give you an idea of how competitive my high school is, even with my grades and GPA I barely made the top 35%. I did get a decent SAT score, 1850. I also made it into the National Honor Society, I have danced competitively with my dance studio for many years and have been a volunteer student teacher in some of the smaller kids classes for a few years. I also play the violin and have been a member of the orchestra all 4 years. I have other various volunteer hours through my church and a teen organization.

BIG problem with my parents. help!?

Ok so my parents got divorced about 3 years ago and now I live with my mom and my stepdad. I really don't like my stepdad because he drinks a lot. Everynight at dinner he'll be drinking wine, and some beforehand and maybe even afterwards. Some nights he leaves dinner early to collapse on the couch or after dinner he'll go straight upstairs to bed, falling down the stairs on the way. When he's drunk he also has a really short temper so he picks fights VERY easily with my mom at night, if she says one thing out of order he'll go crazy and start fussing at her. It pisses me off so much. Tonight i went downstairs to get some water and he straight up said "Your impossible." I didnt do anything or say anything to him and he feels like he has the right to do that? I don't know if my mom is even happy with him anymore of if she feels as if shes trapped. If she is happy, I don't see how. I'm pretty sure by now my stepdad is an alcoholic and its doing a lot of damage. I've been hurt so many times because he has been drunk. Not physically but emotionally, and I can't take it anymore. Tonight I was extremely close to running away. I can't bear living here anymore, knowing he's like that. My mom is so happy and cheerful until he comes along with his drunk self. I don't know what I should do. Talk to my counselor about it, tell my real dad, please help me and give me some suggestions. I can't live like this anymore. Tonight I broke down crying because I think I've finally cracked.

Frequent Stomach ache in Child?

My seven-year old daughter has been complaining of stomachaches, 1-2 per week for the last month. Never vomits or has diarrhea, just has a stomachache. She goes to day camp and has problems with some of the other kids there and the counselors, she says the some of the kids make fun of her and the counselors are not nice. She goes there Monday through Wednesday and last week I had to leave work early due to her complaining of a stomach ache and also have to leave early today due to the same thing. When she is home, she says her stomach feels better and she acts pretty much normal. I am thinking there is something psychological going on here, but I don't want to ignore any possible physical symptoms. Any advice on this?

I think I'm depressed...and I don't mean it in an omg I'm so depressed way. I can't stop crying when I think about how alone I feel. My friends are all moving on, getting married, making new friends. And I'm accomplishing nothing. I feel like I'm invisible and alone. Even when people come over, I feel alone. I'm 21 (tomorrow's my birthday, so really I'm practically 22), I live alone, my best friend has made a new best friend. My dad wants nothing to do with me (he's got a new girlfriend who is 19, and apparently it's not cool for him to have a 22 year old daughter) my mom and sisters live about 25 minutes away from me, but when I see them, they don't see me...they just want to talk about their problems and I let them...they have no idea I'm feeling this way, and I'm pretty sure they would blow it off if I said anything. I have no money to go to a counselor, but I need some sort of help or I am going to do something I know I'll regret. I can't help but feel like my friends are abandoning me because I'm not as fun as I used to be because I'm in a slump all the time. I've worked for a small company for the last 2 1/2 years, and it was seriously the best place ever, until the owners son decided to start grabbing my chest, well when i brought it to the attention of HR, who then discussed it with the owner, I was demoted, along with belittled and called a lair. The case was never settled, although his son did apologize, it was swept under the carpet, and the paperwork was taken from his son's files and shredded. Now for the last three months since the incident I have been treated like garbage, i was demoted from my positions and now he finds even the littlest reason to either write me up, or leave me paragraph sized letters on my desk stating that i am no doing my job correctly (mind you that the entire 2 1/2 years i was here before this i was referred to as his right hand man, he has always entrusted me with a variety of confidential paperwork) So what i need to know is if i quit because of the harassment and discrimination <-(I turned his son in and refused to date him) would i be eligible for unemployment. I have spoken to him when this first happened and he told me he was not punishing me for making a report but all of his actions speak differently, and i know that there is no way to change the way he treats me. Any advice??

Tell your counselor you are having a hard time adjusting to the school. You could do it, but there are a lot more problems than just that. If you aren't depressed about this, you must really be fighting it off. Which is good. Depression just makes things worse. Is your Dad a caring father or one that only cares for himself? If he is caring, then you shouldn't worry about him finding out about cutting class. I'm sure he'd understand. Now for the fitting in thing, make yourself more approachable. Show you are likable. A surefire thing is to join a club or sport. Hope everything works out.

What college major is good for me?

I am going to a community college right now and I want to transfer and get my major in archeology. Unfortunately there are not that many colleges that offer archeology as a major. I want to study ancient civilizations and how they progressed. Basically how literature, agriculture, and civilization started. I know that I can major in different types of Anthropology. My grades in High School is ok, but i guess my counselor said it's not good enough for uconn. Also I didn't take algalgebrabecause my high school screwed up and i had to take math connections and math is my strongest subject. I'm doing online college now. So would there be a way that I can get accepted to UConn in Storrs, ct. Also, I'm not so lucky like the traditional uconn students whose parents can pay for a $25,000 tuition every year. My parents are working class people who don't have good credit to afford a college tuition for me. I have no clue how I can afford UConn every year and how a student loan works or financial aid. Im questioning my sister's mentally stability please help?

Well she's starting to disturb me now. Her mood swings are constant and unpredictable. She's hostile and mean and she's weird. She says that she hates people, she stays in her room all day, and she recently told me she had a friend that was always with her but I couldn't see. She has cut herself in the past and talked to counselors at her school, but she's still the same if not worse. I was wondering if her aversion to people was do to the fact that when she was younger me and my older sister teased her a lot. We would gang up on her and talk about her flaws, and one was that she was chubby. Last year she actually stopped eating and lost a lot of weight until she actually started to look unhealthy. The only other traumatizing thing I could think of that might have contributed to the way she is now is the constant arguing between my mother and father. They would fight, yell at each other, break up, sleep in different rooms, and then be back together two days later. My mom used to pull out weapons and threat to kill my father so I think it confused her a little on how people are supposed to relate to each other. She writes stories and I came across some that were very violent and about killing my father and mother. She's also only 15 but I think something is mentally wrong with her. Please help me. What should I do, Do you think there's something wrong, and why do you think she turned out like that?

I have had CFS for about a year and a half now and in 'the last 6 months I've become depressed, not diagnosed though. the last three months I've been having hallucinations. I see my friends dead, dying or in pain. they are mostly visual. I've become scared of te dark, I jump at shadows, I'm always scared that there will be another hallucination. I was cutting for about 2 months but have atopped now. in the last few weeks I've started thinking about killing myself a lot. I don't want to but I do at th same time. I've been going to a counselor and I want t know hat would happen if I told her about wanting to kill myself? she knows all the rest just not that.. I know I meed help but I'm scared of what will happen...
