Do parents always think their kids are attractive?

I was talking to my counselor at school a while back and she was asking me about my life, and then started going on about her divorced husband and how annoying she thought he was. Then she started telling me how handsome her son was and how he could get any girl, but he didn't like his girlfriend because she's a snob. She was just going on and on, she even said he looked like Josh Hartnett! So she decided to go on her computer and pull up a picture of him to show me and the guy was not handsome at all. Plus he was like 300 pounds with a lot of hair. I felt weird, I was like "Ohhh, yeahhhhhhh he's cute" and smiled, but it was so awkward! So now I'm wondering if parents can tell whether their kids are actually attractive or not, what do you think??
