Destination weddings vs local weddings?

A destination wedding is the perfect example of putting things before people. That is why destination weddings are rude by definition unless the couple is actually eloping without telling anyone beforehand. Otherwise, by "inviting" people to buy themselves plane tickets and forfeit vacation time for you, you are saying "we're having a party, and you can't come unless you can bring yourself!"
