How do I convince her that i won't hurt her?

I have known her for 5 years and in that time, we have developed feelings for each other. She doesn't want to have a relationship with me because she is afraid I will hurt her in some way because of her past experiences. Right now, I am still her best friend and someone whom she entrusts all her secrets with. How do i convince her that I won't hurt her?
